2011 Screenwriting Expo:
Program Highlights

The annual Screenwriting
Expo
is the biggest, most comprehensive, and most prestigious
educational
and networking meeting of screenwriter and aspiring screenwriters in
the world. Now in its seventh year, the Expo offers more than
200
educational seminars and sessions with writers; the Golden Pitch, the
biggest screenplay pitch festival in existence; a prestigious roster of
screenwriting Guests of Honor; a unique on-site scene-writing
competition for prizes, the Cyberspace Open; and a series of evening networking
receptions for workintg and aspiring writers.
This
year's
program includes
more
than 75 brand new, advanced educational sessions never taught before at
the Expo, along with the ost popular teachers from years past,
including Syd Field, Karl Iglesias, Pilar Alessandra, Hollywood
networking expert Heather Hale, and many more.

Pitch Festival
has become one of the biggest, and possibly THE biggest, pitch meeting
in the world.
Expo Screenplay Competition

The Expo
Screenplay Competition is one of the most prestigious and
richest screenplay contests around. More than $100,000 in cash and
other prizes are awarded in front of hundreds of your
peers at the Expo closing ceremony.
Cyberspace Open Scene-Writing Competition

Open
on site to all Expo registrants, the CS
Open is a unique contest. In a series of
eliminations, writers compete for three prizes. One writer
will leave with the top prize of $3,000. The contest
is judged by the audience at the closing ceremony after live readings
of the scenes of two or three finalists. there is no other
contest like it.
