Dining in Downtown Los Angeles:
Dining in downtown Los Angeles offers just
about every kind and price level of cuisine you can imagine, from the
most haute of haute cuisine to snacking among the crowds of food
bargain-hunters at Grand Central Market. Here are a few
suggestions and ideas:

The Original Pantry Cafe, 877 S. Figueroa St (four blocks north of the Convention Center), a Los Angeles landmark, never closes. More than just
a casual eatery, The Pantry offers diners an atmosphere rich in
character and history. An integral piece of Los Angeles culture, The
Pantry has served many movie stars, politicians and other celebrities
and continues to be a gathering spot for the city's movers and shakers. No reservations needed -- just walk in 24 houtrs a day. http://www.pantrycafe.com/ |

Japanese restaurants in Little Toyko. The choices are
varied and huge, from gourmet traditional Japanese and sushi to
sushi on a conveyor belt (something to experience at least once in your
life) to shabu-shabu. Here is the Urban Spoon guide to Little Tokyo restaurants. Little Tokyo is just a few blocks from Convention Center hotels, but we recommend that out-of-towners take a cab. |
|
Chinatown. A cab ride or
long walk north from most convention center hotels. If you like
Chinese food, this is the place to visit. Heee is the Los Angeles
Metromix guide to to the best Chinatown restaurants. |
